Thanks for your help
Dear editor:
My family and I were in a near tragic house fire in the early morning hours on April 6 on 5th Avenue N.W.
I want to thank God for sparing our lives. Although my husband had to be air-lifted to the John M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, thank God he is progressing well. - Rant and Rave for 05/10/13

Cowboy movies: Between the lines
I like to watch old cowboy movies. Many of them I have seen before. But now I watch them with a different perspective. I search for anomalies and other stuff. What I mean is, I pick up on stuff beyond the fact that they had revolvers back then that would hold 20 rounds or more.

Loads of talent
Dear editor:
I received an invitation to attend a recital this past Sunday afternoon by the students of Mr. James Norris at the Arts Center's Wright Auditorium. It was wonderful! The students ranged in age from elementary to high school (there was one adult) with both piano talents and vocal selections. These students performed for almost 2 hours. I was truly amazed at the talent that I saw on the stage. -

Dear editor:
It was a beautiful evening around the first week of April 1998. I was visiting my cousin A.W. Gibbs Jr. at his old home place. - Rant and Rave for 05/09/13

Take it to court
Dear editor,
In March, I was on my way to Valdosta with my family. We were going there to shop and enjoy a carefree Saturday with each other. As I was passing through the City of Morven I lifted my cell phone to change the song selection. After the selection was changed I continued my safe journey toward Valdosta. - Rant and Rave for 05/08/13
