Credentials
“Someone said schools are getting rid of teachers for
coaches. Coaches went to school and got a degree in teaching, too. They just bring a little extra to the table with their coaching expertise and, I would imagine, better classroom discipline. Just as in any other profession - whomev- er has the best credentials on their resume usually gets the job.
Food stamps
“I am a mother of two teens. I work my butt off every
week and receive food stamps(not much) and med- icaid from the government. I make little more than minimum wage and I have and education. The father is right here in town and I have provided all needed info for them to locate him yet they still can not serve him with a court summons because they "can't" find him.
Funny how we all can. My point is that not every- one who get food stamps or help from the government is just sorry or lazy as you so eloquently pointed out.
Ice cream
“Someone's always complaining about the school system.
Let me get something straight for the ones who have no clue. Most of the kids who pay for ice cream are the children who also get free lunch while the ones who have to pay for their lunch sits back and watches. However, I have never seen a child cry about not getting a ice cream at school. So, people grow up and stop complain- ing about everything. The schools are not getting rich by no means.
Football
“Concerning the foot- ball team, I guess it's like the old say-
ing, "No matter how much money you put into it, you'll never make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Issues, issues
“So right now we have an issue with the football team,
the football coach, the band and ice cream at Doerun Elementary. I haven’t heard anything about the cheer- leaders or the rifle team. Where are you people?
Purse controls
“Only have two ques- tions for Mr. Harris. My political science
teachers all told me con- gress controls the purse strings. If that is true, then how is either Presi- dent responsible for the debt and who has con- trolled congress for most of the last 10 years?
Just curious
“Mr. Driver, I agree that a president at the wheel is the one
who must be held responsi- ble. I do have one question for you, however, and that is where was all your spit and vinegar when George Bush was at the wheel dri- ving us into debt and two wars? Just curious.
Applause
“Applause for local law enforcement. I appreciate your efforts
