Rant and Rave for 11/13/12

MOULTRIE — Belly full

“I’ve had about a belly full off this ‘going to hell in a handbasket’ talk and the ‘becoming communist’ bilge. This is still America and we still make things work."

We should know

“Being a property owner and tax payer, I think the school system should make public the money that is being spent on the illegal hispanic students. I know there are many benefits they receive that other students do not. Sounds like they are being catered to while the others are getting the short end of the stick. Tax papers should be made aware of how their hard earned money is spent."

A sad time

“Alas, what a sad time for America...obviously not the ‘United’ States of America. Obama may be touted as one of the best loved Presidents of our nation, but certainly to date he is one of the least effective. He will continue to give handouts while hindering those paying taxes and wishing to hire w/high rates and strangling regulations. In fact he is repressing many of his electorate...while Romney aspired to uplifting those now dependent on the government. Too bad we will never know what Romney could have done for us all w/his capable leadership."

Matter of safety

“I return from work between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm on Hwy. 133 S. and continue down and turn on East Central then on to West Central and 37 West. I have come close to hitting several people both walking and riding bicycles because they are wearing dark colored clothing and walk/ride near or in the street. Someone is going to get killed if this continues. Maybe the cops should issue tickets for this safety hazard."

God and America

“After last week's elections, many of us are complaining about what we are going to continue to face in the next four years. Instead, please pray for your president. Remember, that ‘We the people,’ decide who our leaders will be. We are the ones that have brought America to this point. If God doesn't punish the United States for some of our policies, He will need to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah, and those that Noah preached to."

Applause

“Band, Cheerleaders, football fans, football team and competition, you could not ask for anything better last Friday night.

"The last 54 seconds seemed to have lasted an hour.

Thanks to everybody for a job well done."

Honors

“How come our ROTC color guard seniors weren't recognized at the football game on Senior night? "There were 3 seniors on the field the same time football, cheerleading, and band were being recognized? They are huge part of our Friday nights!"

Should the Boy Scouts accept gay members and/or leaders?

No. Homosexuality goes against Scouting's moral foundation.
Allowing youth members is OK, but not leaders.
Yes. Stop discriminating and allow both.
