Obama’s failures

Dear editor:

We have a terrorist in Texas who kills 13 of our military, and as soon as it becomes public the FBI announces that it is not a terrorist attack.

How could they be sure what it was in the first hour?  It sounds like they were being told what to say by the people over them. Oh!  I forgot we have no war on terror, we have ‘man made incidents’.  Our president made a speech at the memorial service and he called the terrorist a person who just went over the edge.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. Remember the attack on a U.S. warship, Bill Clinton called it a crime and not a terrorist attack.  It was an act of war is what it was.

While we are talking about terrorists our president moved the trial of 911 planners to New York.  This way the information that was gotten from them by the military, it most likely will not be admissible in a civilian court. Did you ever wonder why he wanted to shut down Git-Mo.

We have the Obama and Pelosi health care bill. This bill was finalized behind closed doors (with the locks changed so that no Republicans could enter) by Democrats. It has over 2,000 pages, which no one has had time to read. Where is Obama’s open government? Everything was going to be transparent in his government. He was going to run all the lobbyists out of Washington.  They are still there alive and well.  I still think everyone in the United States regardless of who they are should be covered by the health care bill without exception.

Our military is still in Afghanistan in need of reinforcements, according to his hand-picked general and he cannot make a decision in three months. It’s sort of like a police officer calling for back-up and the chief saying, “I will get back to you on that request”.  Say what?

When he was running for office I said he had the gift of speech like Hitler, now I think he has a lot more similarities.

    Dear editor:
Wildlife rehabilitators, or rehabbers as they are known in the animal community, are very special people. They have acquired the knowledge and experience that is needed to work with injured and orphaned wildlife. Licensed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and if caring for federally protected species, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, a wildlife rehabilitator’s ultimate goal is to take an injured or orphaned animal, get it healthy and return it to its natural habitat.

Remember back in the early sixties when people were digging bomb shelters in fear of the “Big One” being dropped on us? I recall how an alarm would go off at school, and we would get under our desks. What a joke! Get under our desks when one entire wall was glass!

    Dear editor:
What words can be added to so many that have been said in prayer and praise for our Haley?  We have witnessed an outpouring of love and sacrifice for our families, and we truly cannot express our feelings of humility and gratitude.

  • What's at stake here?

    Dear editor
It looks like one of my worst fears is about to happen. With President Obama’s withdrawal of all American troops from Iraq it appears the democratic government we set up in Iraq is getting ready to come apart.  The Shiites and Sunnis are at each others throats and the Kurds and Turkey are already shooting at each other. Iran seems to be paused to take up the vacuum we will be left and obtain a nuclear weapon. In 2007 the Democrats were clamoring for President Bush to get our troops out of Iraq.
