Suggestion
“The courts could put an end to some of this crime if they would give these criminals real time in prison. The police need to do more stake outs in these crime- ridden areas instead of being traffic police. Give someone a traffic citation for having a tail light out is a waste of time."
Read it all
“If people would take the time and read the whole paper before sending in their rants then they would know there is a want ad in the Moultrie Observer for a police position for Norman Park. Maybe if you would have seen that ad then the rants on Norman Park would have ended as soon as the ad came out."
That's why
“To the ranter who wanted to know why the football team got chartered buses and the band had to ride in regular school buses: I will say this one more time. The thousands of people who pay 8 dollars to attend the football games on Friday nights, do not do so because they want to see the band play. The football team draws the crowed so that gets the charted buses. Nothing against the band, it is just the way it is."
Laughter
“Dwain, you make my family's day. Keep the laughter coming."
Terrorist
“So what if he's a soldier? Why is the media afraid to call the Ft.Hood attack for what it is; another terrorist attack by another crazy fundamentalist Muslim."
Food stamps
“How does a couple with four horses, three dogs, four show pigs, two jet skis, several four wheelers, a John Deere gator and an F250 qualify for food stamps? I think something is wrong with this picture. Please post how to turn in food stamp fraud."
Pet laws
“Why is it that there is such a city law that you can only have 2 pets per household but yet no one knows about it until the Humane Society comes knocking on your door? The Humane Society does nothing but speak about how they need donations and need people to adopt the pets because they have a full house."
Health bill
“A health care bill that is 2,000 pages long? Now tell me we don’t need to clean house in Washington ... I’m talking both parties."
God help us
“I have enough trouble just reading my insurance policy and my phone bill. I can’t imagine a 2,000-page health care bill. Obviously such a lengthy document is designed to frustrate anyone trying to read it. My gosh, the Bible isn’t that long. God help us!"

Life is a matter of perspectives; think about it
My friend, a city boy, was yelling for help. We were fishing on a river, and he had ventured over to another spot.
“Someone help! I’m cornered!” he yelled. -
We better wake up
Dear editor:
Have our GOP representatives gone to sleep or are they refusing to act for the people they are supposed to represent? The Obama administration has contracted a Spanish company called SCYTAL, to tabulate the 2012 November presidential election. - Rant and Rave for 5/26/12

May God bless my Uncle Henry
My uncle once noted on his return from a fishing trip that he caught so many fish he couldn’t put them all in one pile.
That’s how I feel trying to keep up with all the causes and organizations that either require support groups or else they comprise support groups. -
A kind humanity
Dear editor:
Humanity. One word. That word can translate into many other words. Some would say humanity is dark, greedy and bent on world domination. Others may say humanity is sweet, kind and caring. I myself witnessed a small part of a loving, caring humanity the other day. - Rant and Rave for 5/24/12

Why it's a bad tax
Dear editor:
In regards to the Transportation TSplost Tax: The statement, “Economic development suffers if we don’t pass this tax” is not a valid statement, because Georgia has always been behind the 8 ball in regards to transportation, but yet look at the growth we have experienced; being behind in transportation didn't hinder economic growth. Georgia now ranks 11th in the country as of 2010 and this occurred mostly since 1995. The economic vitality of Georgia is alive and well considering the slump the country is in. - Rant and Rave for 5/23/12
