Rant and Rave for 1/12/13

— — — —

Not school's job

“If a public school is handing out Bibles it is in direct conflict with court rulings regading the First Amendment. If children need Bibles, we have a wealth of churches and other religious organizations in our community that can assume this role. Do you have proof that this is happening or is this just something you’ve heard? I’m sure the school administration will address it if it is true."

The Bible

“Christian Bibles teach everyone who desires to read it love and forgiveness. Those other books you mention do not. They teach death to anyone who goes against their beliefs. You would face dire consequences if you ever said or did anything against their ‘religion’."

How to do it

“Regarding trapping stray animals:  As i understanding, if you are trapping a legally hunted/trapped animal and a stray ‘happens’ to wander into the trap, there is no problem. You can then take them to the Humane Society; if the dog has an owner they can pick it up for $25 (the first time.)  I had this issue with my neighbors and talked to sheriff, Humane Society, and the game warden and that is what we concluded."

Not required

“To the person complaining about Bibles being passed out at her child’s school, I'm sure it was not required that he/she aquire one. If you continue to have a problem with this, get with your Higher Power, if you have one. Acceptance is the key to living in this world. Live and let live."

Suggestion

“To the person complaining of the school passing out New Testament bibles. I encourage you to do what I do with my own children. If you don't believe in the Christian faith then tell them not to accept it. I tell my children not to accept other material. I also tell my children not to accept drugs, pornography and anything else that I think as a parent that might interfere with my beliefs."

Get over it

“First of all atheist I think you are a bit confused on what you are. You are agnostic. You simply hate God. An atheist would not take the time to write out a long drawn out rant about anything to do with something he or she does not refer to as real.

However an agnostic would. It is so sad that you would refer to attacking Christians to fit your miserable agenda. I know I am throwing pearls on a swine but I thought you might like to know that God does refer to atheist in the Bible ‘Any man who does not believe in God in his heart is a fool’."

Yes you can trap

“Yes you can trap and the Humane Society will rent you a trap. They were free until they got torn up. So the rental is to make sure they get it back in one piece.

Just call the Humane Society. That is unless rules have changed since I did."
