Mental health
“Well, what will be done about the in- crease need for
mental health services in Moultrie? Is there some type of grant that would enable us to reopen or open a facility? We need to step up and help those who can't help themselves.
The stepchild
“Mental health typi- cally has been the stepchild in whole
spectrum of health care in this country. Many people don’t even see mental is- sues as being health issues. Their view of health issues are broken limbs, cancer, heart attacks, etc. Much of this is because they have refused to look at mental health issues perhaps be- cause it would be too dis- turbing. Their answer to mental health issues is ‘just get over it.’ They don’t see it as a disease.
What about me?
“I watched the Today Show this morning where a man wants
the government’s help in getting his children back from his wife who ran home to Eygpt. That is one of the prices you pay when you marry someone from another country. But, can I get some help in getting my kids back? All the po- lice do is write a report and say that it is a custody issues and we don't enforce custody. No money, No place to go.

“I was one of those fans cheering when the player from
South Panola was hurt, but it was not due to the fact that this young man was hurt. The crowd was into the game and cheering be- cause of the outcome of the previous play, not the fact that the opponent's player was down. I, and I assume many others, never even saw the player on the ground until a few seconds after the play was over. I witnessed nothing but class from our fans during that game.
What I saw
“I went to my first Packer football game in several
years and noticed that the people who have paid big money for reserved seats didn't even cheer for their home team until they were 2 feet from the end zone. These should be the biggest of Packer fans. Where was the dedication and support for the team?
Saddens me
“It really saddens me to see how many children are al-
lowed to walk to school at such a young age, almost babies. We do not live in Mayberry. If mothers are too lazy to walk their kids to school at least get an old- er child to walk with them. You could wake up from your 8 a.m. nap .. .and dis- cover your child has been snatched!
Obesity
“I’m glad to see some effort at fighting child obesity. I hope
some moms and dads join this fight.
