Community support

— — — —

Dear editor:

As always our community has met the needs for the Colquitt County Food Bank. The White Christmas food drive from the schools, churchs, businesses and individuals was a great success.

A special thanks to the Moultrie Fire Department, Moultrie Tech and First Presbyterian Church and other individuals who were involved in putting together our food bags for the Christmas distribution. The food bank gave food to 588 families involving 1,811 individuals.

Thanks to our friends at Wal-Mart in their efforts in supplying baked goods, produce and meat products during the entire year.

Again, thanks to the community for supporting our outreach program to feed those who need help. It would not be possible to do all that we do without the continued giving on a regular basis.

Andy Jordan,

executive director,

Colquitt County Food Bank
