I agree
“I agree, it’s good to keep talking about that 4-laning project, but let’s face it, the money is not there. We are not Atlanta. And in many ways, that’s a good thing. I moved from Atlanta to get out of the rat race. But yes, we need some development.
Spoiled perhaps?
“So kids don’t have anything to do. Maybe that’s because they are so spoiled they have no incentive to do anything. Poor things.
My experience
“When I was in high school, I had too much homework and study to do to have time to hang out in the Wal-Mart parking lot and that has been less than 10 years ago since I was in high school. We didn't have the nice new stadium movie theater, or skate park, etc. Yet we found stuff to do. Kids are always going to think there is nothing to do, that is just kids.
I know kids that have every kind of game system, pool, 4-wheelers, ipod everything you could want and they still say they don't have anything to do. That is just how kids are. But the kids that run out in traffic and cause trouble at the Wal-Mart parking lot, I have seen kids throw stuff at cars out there, that is not what they need to be doing.
Don't blame cops
“ Officers endangering civilians by chasing criminals! What a load of garbage. If the person running had just stopped or better yet paid for the gas he stole, no one would have been hurt including himself. We need to stop blaming the police when criminals run.
Human life
“I agree with the ranter . Why in the world would you put people in danger over a tank of gas. The deputy was wrong. Human life is worth a lot more than gas!
Bush/gas prices
“As gas prices continue to fall, I fail to see any of the usual Bush bashers attributing the decline to him. They were more than willing to blame him for the increases, but will never give him credit for the lowest prices many can remember.
Liberals
“If our liberal leaders want to make the poor rich why in the world don't they give their millions to the poor. No, they want to take the last little bit we have worked so hard for. Look at Joe Biden who gave around $3,000 to charity in an eight year period. And Caroline Kennedy has given about $1,000 of her own money to charity.
Our nation
“Have you noticed the people who want our new president to fail? They belong to a club called ‘Cut Off Our Noses to Spite Our Faces.’ We are not talking about football teams folks, this is our nation. This is our childrens’ futures.

We better wake up
Dear editor:
Have our GOP representatives gone to sleep or are they refusing to act for the people they are supposed to represent? The Obama administration has contracted a Spanish company called SCYTAL, to tabulate the 2012 November presidential election. - Rant and Rave for 5/26/12

May God bless my Uncle Henry
My uncle once noted on his return from a fishing trip that he caught so many fish he couldn’t put them all in one pile.
That’s how I feel trying to keep up with all the causes and organizations that either require support groups or else they comprise support groups. -
A kind humanity
Dear editor:
Humanity. One word. That word can translate into many other words. Some would say humanity is dark, greedy and bent on world domination. Others may say humanity is sweet, kind and caring. I myself witnessed a small part of a loving, caring humanity the other day. - Rant and Rave for 5/24/12

Why it's a bad tax
Dear editor:
In regards to the Transportation TSplost Tax: The statement, “Economic development suffers if we don’t pass this tax” is not a valid statement, because Georgia has always been behind the 8 ball in regards to transportation, but yet look at the growth we have experienced; being behind in transportation didn't hinder economic growth. Georgia now ranks 11th in the country as of 2010 and this occurred mostly since 1995. The economic vitality of Georgia is alive and well considering the slump the country is in. - Rant and Rave for 5/23/12

I am saddened
Dear editor:
A couple of weeks ago, I attended Field Day at Sunset Elementary where my oldest daughter attends the Pre-K program. I was deeply saddened to hear that Mrs. Vicky Watson will be retiring this year. - More Opinion Headlines
