Our opinion

In response
“For all those fussing about the volunteer fire departments, how many times have first responders or fire fighters been to your house? You will not be fussing when you need them. They save you, the county citizens, lots of money every year with better insurance ratings. They save lives and property. And they do it for free. They work. Do you? They have families they leave to go serve you. Think about what you are saying before you say it.
What happened?
“What ever happened to customer service? After having two different creepy critters unexpectedly join us for dinner at the table at a local restaurant before we even received our entree, needless to say, there was no appetite left in us. Management only offered to move us to another table. Wow, and no charge for the infestation.
You're wrong
“To the person who thinks, its ok for firefighters to put out ‘hot spots’ not wearing firefighting gear you are wrong. Also department SOPs should forbid this. In the picture the firefighters were using a booster line to cool hot spots which is also against the manual and SOPs.
I'll take them
“To the ranter that said they were not going to buy their season tickets. Where are your seats I have been trying to upgrade unsuccessfully for years.
Outrage!
“While you sit here and rant and rave about little things, why aren't we outraged at what is happening to our country?
The BP Oil spill and the planning evacuation of the coastal states. Military patrolling the streets, arresting civilians and training for gun confiscation. Why aren't we mad about those things? Look up FEMA camps and see what you find.
Against law
“To have inmates work on privately owned farms is against the law, so drop the issue on this. We have bigger issues to worry about. Our Republic is falling around us and you are worried about prisoners? Give me a break! Unless you people don't wake up to that fact, we will all be prisoners.
Strategy?
“President Obama and Attorney General Holder both promised to close Guantanamo Bay and to try those poor prisoners in American courtrooms as soon as possible.
Apparently those plans are on hold until after the November elections.
Why? Unfortunately doing the right thing is not always popular with the voters. We really need to move forward now not later.
