Ernest J. Weeks

MOULTRIE — Ernest J. Weeks, 89, of Moultrie died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Robinson officiating.

Born Oct. 3, 1920, in Colquitt County, Mr. Weeks was the son of the late George Hill Weeks and the late Attie Mae Keigans Weeks. He was a principal at Okapilco School for 28 years, and he was a retired farmer and retired land developer. He was of the Methodist Faith.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Weeks; a brother, Leo Weeks; and a sister, Lucille Passmore.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Waites Weeks of Moultrie; a son, Kyle Weeks and wife Serena of Norman Park; and seven grandchildren, Megan Weeks, Rachel Weeks, Caroline Weeks, Hannah Weeks, Rhetta Weeks, Laura Weeks and Evan Weeks.

Donations may be made to Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.

Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
