Jerry Homer Sellers

MOULTRIE — Jerry Homer Sellers, 62, of Moultrie, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Woods and the Rev. Carl Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Clint Knight, Zach Fallin, Kasey Key, Brandon Sellers, Clay Conger and Greg Harrell.

Born May 29, 1947, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Homer S. Sellers and Christell Browning Sellers. He was a real estate appraiser and owned properties and businesses in Valdosta. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

“Jerry was very dedicated to his family and friends,” his family said.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Harrell Sellers of Moultrie; one daughter, Angelia DeFrancis and husband David of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, Brad Sellers of Braselton, Ga.; five grandchildren, Rachel DeFrancis, Nicole DeFrancis and Sydney DeFrancis, all of Atlanta, Ga., and Hunter Sellers and Ashley Sellers, both of Deland, Fla.; three brothers, Tony Sellers and Teddy Sellers, both of Norman Park, and Don Sellers of Moultrie; and two sisters, Gail Knight and Debbie Fallin, both of Moultrie.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 3, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia, 2951 Flowers Road South, Ste. 221, Atlanta, Ga., 30341, First Baptist Church or Trinity Baptist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
