Tessie Nadine Rodgers Shaffer

MOULTRIE — Tessie Nadine Rodgers Shaffer, 90, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.E. Moak officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery in Thomas County. Ray Douglas, James Demha, Travis Carlton, Roman Harrison, Pablo Cantu and Michael Adderton will serve as pallbearers.

Born Oct. 3, 1918, in Thomas County, Mrs. Shaffer was a retired beautician and former owner operator of Tessie’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Moultrie, was an avid gardener and a fan of WWA wrestling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Shaffer; a son, Donnie Mack Hart; three brothers, William Rodgers, Wesley Rodgers and Earl Rodgers; and three sisters, Cora Silver, Minnie Barton and Lillie Snipes.

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and extended family members; and a special friend, Pablo Cantu of Moultrie.

The family will receive friends from 6 to tonight at the funeral Home.

Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
