MOULTRIE — Viola Renew Conley, 78, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at her home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Wilbur Schaffer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ricky McLaughlin. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Michael Casey, Mike Hudnall, Shawn Conley, John Nunes, Buck Rogers and A.J. Terrell. Her nephews will serve as honorary casketbearers.

Born Dec. 22, 1931, in Sumner, Ga., she was the daughter of the late General Jackson Renew and Ollie Peavy Renew. She retired from the housekeeping department of Colquitt Regional Medical Center, with 18 years of service. She was a founding member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Conley; and six brothers and sisters, Luther Renew, Erman Renew, Thelma Conley, John Renew, Gene Renew and Mary Conley.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Conley of Moultrie; two daughters, Ann Squires and husband Jack and Betty Rogers, all of Moultrie; one brother, Rufus Renew of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Tonya Terrell, Pam Nunes, Nikki Hudnall, Buck Rogers, Michael Casey, Shawn Conley and Kacee Hartsfield; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 2, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
