Charles Bruce ‘Chuck’ Howard

MOULTRIE — Charles Bruce “Chuck” Howard, 76, of Moultrie, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Father Eric Filmer and Deacon Rich Fetterman officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will follow In Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The United States Air Force Honor Guard will serve as casketbearers.

Born May 21, 1935, in Doerun, he was the son of the late Walter Howard and Nettie Greer Howard. He served in the United States Air Force for more than 20 years, retiring as a technical sergeant, and was formerly associated with Proctor and Gamble.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Boyd; and two brothers, Ronnie Howard and Harold Howard.

Survivors include one daughter, Lori D. Owens of Moultrie; two sons, Charles M. Howard and friend Vicki Hyatt of Barnesville, Ga., and John S. Howard of Moultrie; two brothers, Larry Howard and wife Margie and Phillip Howard and wife Terri, all of Moultrie; and three grandchildren, Brett Owens, Hayley Owens and Stephen Howard.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

The family may be contacted at the home of Lori D. Owens, 1308 11th Street, S.W. in Moultrie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
