Ruby Glass Tillman

BERLIN — Ruby Glass Tillman, 83, of Berlin, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at UniHealth at Magnolia Manor South.

Graveside rites will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, at Hopewell Cemetery with the Rev. Clyde Billingsley officiating. Her grandsons will serve as casketbearers.

Born Jan. 1, 1929, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late James Robert “Bob” Glass and Lonie Pyles Glass. She was a homemaker and a member of Berlin Baptist Church.

“She loved her family, gardening and was a great cook,” her family remembered of her.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Theron Tillman of Berlin; four children, James S. Mercer and wife Janice of Moultrie, Don L. Tillman of Berlin, Marsha T. Bell and husband Cleve of Moultrie and Mike Tillman and wife Janet of Berlin; and nine grandchildren, Raine Mercer, Jess Mercer, Amber Chism, Joseph Tillman, Charlie Bell, Andrew Bell, Matthew Bell, Kimberly Edwards and Hunter Spradley.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Nov. 16, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
