Margie Nell Jones Best

MOULTRIE — Margie Nell Jones Best, 86, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Park Regency of Moultrie.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at Kingwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Gunter, the Rev. Allen Pierce and the Rev. Richard Faucett officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Adel. Casketbearers will be David Best, Carson Best, Richard Faucett, Keith Gunter, T.J. Gay and Mac Arnold.

Born Feb. 24, 1925, in Adel, she was the daughter of the late Carson Jones and Thelma Berryhill Jones. She was a homemaker and was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church.

“She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,” her family remembered of her.

Survivors include her husband, Irvin Edward Best of Moultrie; two sons, Merrell Best and wife Kay of Statesville, N.C., and Bill Best and wife Kim of Warner Robins, Ga.; one daughter, Deborah Ruddell and husband Paul of Moultrie; one sister, Martha Sue McEachern of Adel; eight grandchildren, David Best and wife Kellie, Lisa Best, Amy Gunter and husband Keith, Sherry Faucett and husband Richard, Lea Gay and husband T.J., Cayla Best, Rebecca Best and Carson Best; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Feb. 3, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
