TAMPA, FLA. — Margaret T. Williams, 78, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 in Tampa, Fla.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Born April 24, 1927 in Colquitt County, she was retired from the Georgia Department of Labor.
She was preceded in death by a son, James M. Williams III and a brother, Carroll Murphy.
Survivors include sons, James M. Williams of Atlanta, Jerry Paul Williams of Moultrie and Jeffrey Carroll Williams of Inverness, Fla.; daughter, Janet Elizabeth Williams of Inverness, Fla. and grandchildren, Bayly Miley, Ashley Williams and Victoria Williams.

MOULTRIE — Walt “W.T.” Knox, 86, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Mike Coley, Robert Taylor, Donald Simmons, Ken Snipes, Art Harvin and Don Gay serving as pallbearers.
Born June 28, 1919 in Murray County, he was the son of the late Nellie Mae Carroll Knox and the late John Elbert Knox. He was a farmer during his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Belle Shirah Knox.
Survivors include his sons, Steve Wayne Knox of Moultrie, W.T. Knox Jr. of Moultrie and Bobby Knox and wife Reather of Moultrie; daughters, Betty Faye Coley and husband Gary of Panama City Beach, Fla., Jeanette Rowe of Tifton and Linda Dale Taylor and husband Robert K. of Albany; sister, Ruby Simmons of Thomasville; eight grandchildren, Mike Coley, Pamela Horne, Kimberly Gay, Sandy Naylor, Schrea Taylor, Mary Anne Knox, Rhett Knox and Barry Knox; and eight great-grandchildren.

MOULTRIE — Marvin Edward Harrison, 78, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at his residence.

Born Feb. 29, 1928 in Tift County, he was the son of the late Annie Bell Gore Harrison and the late Buren Harrison. He was retired from Swift and Company and was a United States Navy and Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bennett Harrison.
Survivors include his wife Opal Ellis Harrison of Moultrie; sons, Mark Ellis Harrison of Berlin and Kyle Devon Harrison of Moultrie; sister, Betty Ruth Suber of Hartsfield; three grandchildren, Catherine Strickland, Toni Strickland and Roman Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Kameron Cooper, Matthew Strickland and Celeste Arce.

Born March 13, 1938 in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Lum Mason and the late Vallie Lea Piles Mason. He was a farmer during his lifetime.

Born Nov. 15, 1920 in Toombs County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late D.P. Sellers and the late Nolia Sellers. She worked at Swift and Company, Reedy Creek School lunchroom and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harley Herman Bruce; a son, Charles F. Bruce; brothers, D. P. Sellers, Jr., Raymond Sellers, Howell Sellers and Russell Sellers; and sisters, Josie Sellers and Audrey Bozeman.
Survivors include, sons, Dewey Bruce and wife Margaret of Moultrie, Wayne Bruce of Jacksonville, Fla. and Tony Bruce of Moultrie; daughter, Mary Bruce Burnette and husband Dewitt of Norman Park; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Bruce of Moultrie; brothers, Ernest Sellers and wife Evielee of Moultrie, D.Q. HAHIRA — Harley Davidson Hall, III, 25, of Hahira died Monday, March 13, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 at Shiloh Cemetery with Dr. Rick Stevens officiating.
He was born in Thomasville on November 22, 1980 to Rusty and Teresa Bannister Hall and had lived in Hahira most of his life. He was a graduate of Valdosta State University with a degree in sociology and was planning to return to Valdosta State University in May to obtain his master’s degree with an interest in counseling. He was a Baptist, enjoyed music and loved being with friends. Harley was currently employed with Covington’s Dining and Catering.
Survivors include his parents, Rusty and Teresa Hall of Hahira, his sister, Charley Hall, his maternal grandparents, Ray and Margaret Bannister of Coolidge, his aunts and uncles, Cle Bannister of Coolidge, Danny and Jane Hall of Adel, Jody and Lana Hall of Hahira, Pat and Tom Drennen of Pennsylvania, his cousins, Cleburn, Heather, Carrie, Harley T., Megan and Amanda, his great uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Martin of Tallahassee, Fla. and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Pettijohn of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harley, Sr. and Juanita Hall.

Born Oct. 8, 1928 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Frank and Addie Richardson Funderburk. In 1952, he graduated from Middle Georgia Junior College and Southern Technical Institute. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Thomasville and for 35 years, owned and operated Funderburk’s Seed Cleaners and Dryers, until his retirement in 1987. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include, his wife of 46 years, Jean Sloan Funderburk; son, Frank Eugene Funderburk and wife Ginger of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jacob Paul Funderburk and Emma Riley Funderburk; sister-in-law, June Hegwood; nephews, Ben and Montiea Hegwood, Greg and Miriam Hegwood, all of Moultrie, John and Tonia Granger of Tallahassee, Fla. and other nieces and nephews.

Catherine Romanz Cook Fokes
CARROLLTON, GA. — Catherine Romanz Cook Fokes, 88, of Newnan and Moultrie died Sunday, March 5, 2006 in Carrollton, Ga.
A graveside service was held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, Ga. led by Father James Callahan. The family received friends at McKoon’s Funeral Home for two hours before the service.
Beloved wife of Dr. Robert Engram Fokes Jr., who preceded her in death, she was born Nov. 11, 1917 in Newnan. She was the daughter of the late Mary Louise Peniston Cook of Newnan and the late Ellison Richards Cook, Jr. of West Point.
She was a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She and her husband moved to Moultrie in 1947, where he practiced medicine for 40 years. She was a long-time member of the Moultrie Service League. She was a member of the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the state of Georgia and served several terms as chair of the Moultrie Town Committee and on the State Board of Governors. She was a member of the Magna Charta Dames and a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church in Moultrie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sally Cook Andersen of Newark, Del.; and her brother, Dr. Ellison Richards Cook, III of Savannah.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred “Bunny” Peniston Fokes Godard (Dr. John Ellington Godard), Sally Cook Fokes Jones (Richard Tillman Jones) of Carrollton and Lucy Lewis Fokes Link (Frederick Erskine Link) of Gainsville; eight grandchildren, John Ellington “Ellis” Godard Jr. (Kristen), Robert Randolph “Bob” Aderhold, M.D. (Shanna), Robert Fokes “Bob” Godard (Robin), Catherine Grace “Kate” Aderhold Willis (Cary), Frederick Fokes Link, Mary Louise Godard, Catherine Cason Link and Lewis Brough Link; one step-granddaughter, Devereaux Jones Cousins (Byron); five great-grandchildren, Lauren Suzanne Godard, Noah Francis Godard, Lindsay Allison Godard, Walker Engram Willis and Maya Ruby Godard; two step-grandchildren, Carianne Peyton Willis and Jonathan Robert Willis; her brother, Paul Peniston Cook of San Antonio, Tex.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special extended family, Mary Merritt Dupree Camp and Robert Calvin Camp of Tallahassee, Fla.
