Municipal Court for the Feb. 13 edition

MOULTRIE — The following cases were recently disposed of in Moultrie Municipal Court:

Shelvie Richard Summerlin, 41, was charged with safety belts violation (children). Bond was forfeited.

Marcie Dawn Tadlock, 32, was charged with speeding (54 in a 35). Bond was forfeited.

Christopher Shane Taylor, 39, was charged with speeding (69 in a 55). Bond was forfeited.

Teresa Holder Todd, 47, was charged with running red light. Bond was forfeited.

Tulika P. Trivedi, 26, was charged with speeding (72 in a 55). Bond was forfeited.

Baltazar Lorenzo Vega, 27, was charged with speeding and no driver's license. Bond was forfeited.

A charge of speeding (75 in a 55) was dismissed against Joseph Russel Walters, 30.

Trevin Cole Wilkes, 18, was charged with speeding (69 in a 55). Bond was forfeited.

Samuel Hoyt Worley, 75, was charged with speeding (80 in a 55). Bond was forfeited.

Chalaka Tamara Young, 38, pleaded guilty to safety belts violation (children) and was sentenced to 1 day jail.

Kevin Raymond Zinck, 31, was charged with expired tag, safety belts violation (adults) and improper transfer of license plate/decal. Bond was forfeited.

Stephen E. Baird, 25, was charged with failure to yield when entering/crossing a roadway. Bond was forfeited.

Emily Jane Darrah, 28, was charged with speeding (68 in a 55). Bond was forfeited.

Brooke Anne Horn, 21, was charged with expired tag. Bond was forfeited.

Christopher David Morris, 26, was charged with expired tag. Bond was forfeited.

Andre Hernandez Rodriguez, 30, was charged with expired tag. Bond was forfeited.

Lee R. Saxton, 70, pleaded guilty to DUI, driving while license suspended/revoked, failure to maintain lane and open container violation, all with additional penalties for contempt of court. Saxton was fined a total of $3,023; was sentenced to a total of 13 days jail, 24 months probation and 60 hours community service; and was ordered to attend the Risk Reduction Program and Victims Impact Panel.

Ashia J'Niece Wilcox, 30, was charged with driving with suspended/revoked/canceled tag. Bond was forfeited.

Ruben Zavala, 28, pleaded no contest to safety belts violation (adults), failure to stop at stop sign and expired tag. He pleaded not guilty to violation of license restrictions but was found guilty by the court. Charges of contempt of court associated with each of those charges were dismissed. Zavala was fined a total of $384.

Roy D. Johnson, 55, was charged with following too closely. Bond was forfeited.

Audrick Tyrell Ponder, 21, was charged with expired tag, improper tag and no license on person. Bond was forfeited.

A charge of possession of an ounce or less of marijuana was dismissed against David Alexander Sloan, 19.

Freda Lashun Berry, 30, was charged with driving with suspended/revoked/canceled tag, but pleaded no contest to expired tag instead. Berry was fined $311 and sentenced to 6 months probation. Berry also pleaded no contest to no proof of insurance and safety belts violation (children) and was fined a total of $491.

Byron Drew Croft, 24, pleaded guilty to speeding (66 in a 55) and was fined $207. A charge of driving while license suspended/revoked was dismissed.

Charges of DUI-Alcohol less safe, driving while license suspended/revoked, failure to maintain lane and failure to stop for accident with damage were dismissed against Socorre Lavay Davis, 37.

Ke'twanna Nicole Hawkins, 20, was charged with driving with suspended/revoked/canceled tag, but she pleaded no contest to expired tag instead. Hawkins also pleaded no contest to no proof of insurance. She was fined a total of       $752.

Timothy Hayes, 41, pleaded no contest to driving with suspended/revoked/canceled tag and was ordered to pay $311 or serve 10 days jail. Hayes also pleaded no contest to no proof of insurance and was ordered to pay $441 or serve 16 days jail. He also pleaded no contest to driving while license suspended/revoked and was ordered to pay $777 or serve 22 days jail.

A charge of driving with suspended/revoked/canceled tag was dismissed against Blanca Asunder Hernandez, 20.

Rachael Suzanne Hudson, 17, was charged with DUI but pleaded guilty to failure to exercise due care instead. She was fined $2,005, sentenced to 12 months probation and 80 hours community service, and ordered to attend the Risk Reduction Program. A charge of duty upon striking unattended vehicle was dismissed.

Seberia Martinez, 38, was charged with no driver's license but pleaded no contest to too fast for conditions instead. Martinez was fined $500.

Victoria Middleton, 54, pleaded guilty to following too closely; a charge of DUI was dismissed. Middleton was fined $2,005, was sentenced to 12 months probation and 40 hours community service, and was ordered to attend the Risk Reduction Program and Victims Impact Panel.

A charge of trespassing was dismissed agaisnt Sherry Miller, 59.

Charges of headlight requirements and driving while license suspended/revoked were dismissed against Michael James Clint Nixon, 31.

Hayley Suzanne Owens, 22, was charged with failure to maintain lane but pleaded no contest to reckless driving instead. Charges of DUI and safety belts violation (adults) were dismissed. Owens was fined $2,005; was sentenced to 12 months probation and 80 hours community service; and was ordered to attend the Risk Reduction Program and 12 sessions of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Barry Piercy, 45, pleaded no contest to animal restraint violation and animals running at large. He was sentenced to 17 days jail and ordered to pay $175 restitution to the Moultrie Humane Society.

Kathryn Ruth Roberts, 23, was charged with speeding (66 in a 45) but pleaded no contest to speeding (58 in a 45). Roberts was fined $156.

A charge of DUI was dismissed against Jared Franklin Suber, 31. Suber pleaded guilty to driving while license suspended/revoked and was sentenced to 15 days jail.

A charge of shoplifting was dismissed against James Franklin Thompson, 58.

Eric Lamount White, 48, was charged with speeding (66 in a 55). Bond was forfeited.

Kanisha Williams, age unknown, pleaded guilty to driving with suspended tag and was fined $311.
