MOULTRIE — Moultrie and Colquitt County opened the door for the holidays Thursday with the annual 'Lights! Lights!' celebration on the Courthouse Square.
At the event, the city turns on its Christmas lights, Santa Claus makes his first appearance of the year, and downtown merchants open their doors for the first big gift-buying event of the holidays.

Colquitt County Superior and State Court Clerk Lynn G. Purvis recently attended the 2013 mandated and certified continuing judicial education annual spring seminar for superior and state court clerks of Georgia held April 29-May 2.
