Escape adds years to sentences

MOULTRIE — The following story has been corrected from its original version.

A former Colquitt County Correctional Institution inmate, who escaped in July, was sentenced to more prison time after pleading guilty Thursday in that incident.

Superior Court Judge James G. Tunison Jr. sentenced Bobby Lee Gunter, 28, to a four-year prison term after accepting the plea. The sentence will be added to any other sentences Gunter currently is serving.

James David Miler, 29, was sentenced Jan. 23 to an additional five years in prison after pleading guilty in the escape.
