MOULTRIE — Weekend traffic stops resulted in a number of arrests for the police, including one that resulted in drug charges for the passenger in a car stopped for a broken tail light.

An officer recognized Jermaine Jumir Robinson, 17, as the person identified during an earlier briefing as having outstanding warrants and followed the Nissan Sentra in which he was riding.

A traffic stop was made at about 3 p.m. in the 900 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast and Robinson, the passenger, was asked to get out.

 Robinson identified himself as Jermain Roberts, police said, and gave a birth date of Dec.. 25, 1993.

A check of that name turned up no warrants, but when an officer searched Robinson he found a plastic bag containing 12 smaller bags of suspected marijuana.

Robinson was arrested and police later confirmed his identity and correct date of birth as Oct. 25, 1993.

Robinson, of 128 Tallokas Circle, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and giving a false name or date of birth. He also was charged with battery on the outstanding warrant.

The driver was issued a citation.

In other arrests:

• Jason McCoy Jones, 34, 323 Doc Lindsey Road, was charged Friday with driving while license suspended or revoked, possession of marijuana, tag light violation and probation violation.

• Christina Rae Johnson, 32, 603 Eighth Street Southwest, was charged Friday with expired driver’s license, expired tab and no brake light.

• David Marrero, 17, 1605 S. Main St., was charged Saturday with driving in violation of license restrictions, interference with child custody, and head light and child restraint violations.

• Quintan Lanaro Farmer, 26, 124 Dunn Road, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, suspended license, unlawful use of license and tag light violation.

 • Alphonso Ponder, 48, 15 Eighth Ave. N.W., was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, failure to dim headlights, expired driver’s license, failure to signal when turning, failure to maintain lane and no license on person.

• Jena Elizabeth McGilvray, 25, 1346 Fourth St. S.W., was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and tag light violation.

• Kevin Jim Norris Green, 39, 1018 Third St. S.E., was charged Friday with suspended license, tag light violation and seat belt and child seat violations.

• Mary Frances Hogan, 43, 124 Ty Ty-Sycamore Road, Ty Ty, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence (refused test), failure to maintain lane and open container violation.

• Kinyama Latrail Moore, 20, 377 Oak Lane, Funston, was charged Sunday with theft by shoplifting and trespass.

Moore is accused of on Dec. 9 walking out of Walmart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., with a shopping cart of groceries without paying for them. She had been banned from the store prior to that incident, police said.

• Darian Quinsay Williams, 32, 804 Joe Louis Ave., was charged Friday with failure to appear.

• Moneki Nicole Huckaby, 21, 412 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was charged Sunday with criminal trespass.

• Kentavious Markel Barney, 26, 1710 Malone Drive, Albany, was charged Friday with probation violation.

• Samuel Heath Kastelic, 20, 1265 Doc Darbyshire Road, was charged Friday with probation violation.

• John Thomas King, 28, 384-A Horne St., Norman Park, was charged Friday with probation violation.

• Sabrina Victoria Baker, 23, 5664 Five Forks Road, Boston, was charged Friday with probation violation.

• Eric Antonio Blunt, 25, 312 Clair Drive, Thomasville, was charged Thursday with probation violation.

He is accused of hitting Xavier Rogers in the face and ear in a Jan. 11 incident on Eighth Avenue Northwest.



Sheriff’s Office

• Tabatha Renee Meyer, 37, 264 Weathers Road, was charged Friday with driving under the influence and driving while license withdrawn.

• Nicholas Dewayne McClendon, 30, 417 Sixth St. S.W., was charged Saturday with failure to drive within a single lane, driving without a license, giving false information or name and obstruction of an officer.

He also was charged on outstanding Moultrie warrants on charges of failure to drive within a single lane, driving without a license and giving false information or name.

• Randall Lance Caulder, 33, 133 Tim and Sally Lane, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, driving while license withdrawn and headlight violation, and Christina Michelle Caulder, 32, was charged with open container violation.

• Danielle Weldon, 25, 1405 Branch Road, Pavo, was charged Friday with contempt of court.

• Travis Deshaun Williams, 36, 804 Joe Louis Ave., was charged Saturday with probation violation.

• Brandon Tyler Nellis, 24, 4820 Greggs Road, Adel, was charged Friday with probation violation.



Thefts

Moultrie Police

• Pamela Ford, 1800 block Fifth Street Southeast, reported Thursday the theft of a 42-inch flat screen television.

• Bobby Terryman, Moultrie, reported Friday that his clothes were stolen out of a dryer at a laundromat in the 200 block of Georgia Highway 33.

• Chelsea Thompson, Berlin, reported Friday the theft of a backpack and Husky tool box out of a 1993 Ford LGT parked in the 2000 block of First Avenue Southeast.

• Cameron Klar, Moultrie, reported Saturday the theft of a CD player face plate, change and wallet out of a 1997 Honda Civic parked in the 1100 block of First Street Southeast.

Klar told police that he found the CD player on the ground.

• Virginia Holton, Moultrie, reported Sunday the theft of property valued at $107 from a house in the 2900 block of East Central Avenue.



Sheriff’s Office

• Ronnie Whittle, 300 block Whittle Lane, Pavo, reported Friday the theft of a hydraulic cylinder an drag line boom valued at $300 from the 100 block of Smith Street in Berlin.

A witness reported seeing two men with the property in a pickup truck a few days prior to Whittle’s discovery that it was missing.

• Keith Wilkes, 400 block Sleepy Bear Road, reported Saturday the theft of $7,200 out of a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck.



Property damage

Moultrie Police

• Tequila Erving, 1200 block Ninth Street Southwest, reported Friday that a door was damaged after she had been in an argument with a male companion.

A screen door was damaged police said.

• Lisa Ross, Moultrie, reported Sunday that a male acquaintance kicked the door of her 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Ross told police that she gave the man a ride and that he kicked the door in the 500 block of First Avenue Southeast after they got into an argument. The door of the car would not close.



Sheriff’s Office

• Gene Carlton, 4600 block Stewart Road, Ochlocknee, reported Saturday that a door was damaged at a house in the 900 block of Tom Jones Road.

• Darius Gibson, 100 block Minnesota Ave., Doerun, reported Sunday that a 2003 Chevrolet Impala was damaged overnight.

The car had a shattered windshield, with a concrete block on it, as well as scratches on the driver’s side and roof, sheriff’s reports said.

• Sharon Holton, 2200 block Georgia Highway 37 West, reported Saturday that the door of a duplex her son’s share had been kicked open and that the door between the two apartments also had been kicked down.



Other investigations

Moultrie Police

• Shatedra Cotton, Moultrie, 400 block Ninth Avenue Southeast, reported Friday the theft of a checkbook and that one of the checks had been forged at a restaurant.

Cotton told police that the checks were at her mother’s residence and that she caught a male relative trying to take her identification recently, possibly to make cashing the checks easier.

• Bernadette Smith, Coolidge, reported Friday that an unknown person or company took her tax refund without her permission.

• Jimmie Harmon, 1300 block 10th Street Southeast, reported Monday that a former male companion has been stalking her.

Incidents reported by Harmon included the man following her and her tenant’s daughter, making harassing remarks to both, and watching her residence.



Sheriff’s Office

• Douglas Fender, 400 block Gene McQueen Road, reported Friday that a female acquaintance used his identification and Social Security number to open a cell telephone account without his permission.
