MOULTRIE — The C.A. Gray 8th grade FFA Meats Team recently placed 3rd in the Region FFA Meats Evaluation & Technology Career Development Event. The event was held at FFA Camp John Hope. The Meats Evaluation & Technology Career Development Event develops the abilities of students to evaluate meat animal products in order to optimize economic returns to producers and industry as well as to meet the needs of consumers. Participants take a written examination, identify retail cuts, and grade carcasses on quality and yield grade. Team members include H. Meech, E. Lilly, B. Autry, and F. Hall.
