MOULTRIE — Moultrie Technical College announced its 21 student nominees for the 2013 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership on Jan. 9, according to Lisa Newton, MTC’s GOAL coordinator. Annual GOAL winners represent MTC as the Student of the Year. Moultrie Tech’s winner will represent the college in its four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth and will be announced on Jan. 29 at an awards luncheon in Moultrie. A statewide winner will be selected in April. Pictured are the 2013 GOAL nominees who either attend one of the MTC campuses in Moultrie or reside near the Moultrie campuses. Canning plant to open Monday
The canning plant located at Colquitt County High School will open on Monday, May 20, with operating hours from 8 a.m. to noon. The plant will operate these hours on May 20, 22, 27 and 30.
