Benefit cook and sing
Ione Freewill Baptist Church, 1552 Ione Church Road in Pavo, will have a benefit sing at 7 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 17.
The featured singers will be Rick Griswold and Georgia Red.
There will be a silent cake auction from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Also, “all you can eat” ribs, Boston butt, chicken and sausage served with potato salad, baked beans or green beans, tea or lemonade, bread and dessert from noon until.
It will be for $10. Dine-in or take-out.
Plate sale
Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 501 8th Street N.W., will be having a barbecue plate sale on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The menu will be grilled chickn or pork chop or pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, bread, cake, and tea or lemonade.
