MOULTRIE —
Nine Colquitt County residents and two business employees reported they were victims of property theft during the Labor Day holiday weekend. Items reported stolen included electronics, jewelry, cash, air conditioners, prescription medication, lawn mowers, tire rims, copper, guns, a vehicle, roofing tin and clothing.
The known value of the items reported stolen and damage caused during the thefts was estimated at about $39,467. Those who reported being the victims of property theft were:
• Roosevelt White reported a thief stole a Microsoft X-box 360, a Sony PlayStation 2, five X-box games, 17 DVD’s, $2,000 cash, jewelry, clothes and a gun from his sister’s house on 12th Street Northwest between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $9,781.
• Neeve Reese, of First Avenue Northwest, reported a thief stole two window air conditioning units from her back porch between 6:30 a.m. and 3:17 p.m. Wednesday. The value of the stolen air conditioners was estimated at $120.
• Craig Silas, of Highway 270 West in Doerun, reported a thief stole two Emerson 27-inch televisions and two Apex DVD players between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $660.
• Franklin Chafin, of Lighter Knot Court, reported a thief stole four American Racing rims from the back of a vehicle between Aug. 20 and 11 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen rims was $800.
• An employee with Trawick Construction reported a thief cut the lock to a fence gate at a house on Norman Estates and stole copper cable from four spools between 7 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen copper was $15,000.
• Jannie Hood, of West Bethel Avenue, reported Friday a thief stole a jewelry box with jewelry inside, $440 cash, two push mowers, 123 Hydrocodone pills, 60 Darvocet pills, 45 Methadone pills and a dog between Aug. 24 and Aug. 25. The value of the stolen items was about $1,446. Hood gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.
• Lula Wynn reported a thief stole a Toshiba 60-inch television from her storage unit at Tallokas Mini Storage on Tallokas Road between Feb. 25 and Friday. The value of the stolen television was $1,000.
• Patsy Giddens reported a thief broke out two door windows of her house on First Street Northwest and stole a Vizio 32-inch television and a jewelry box between 10 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 p.m. Friday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was $560.
• Linda Morris, of Morris Road, reported a thief stole two sheets of roofing tin between Aug. 28 and 11 a.m. Sunday.
• Emma Lopez, of Dorminey Road, reported a thief stole $1,100 cash from her purse Saturday. Lopez gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a female suspect.
• An employee at Moxley Auto Sales on Highway 133 South reported a thief stole a Chevrolet Tahoe between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen vehicle was $9,000.

• Eddie Warren reported someone fraudulently withdrew money from his bank account in two transactions at Rich Oil on North Main Street between 7 a.m. and 4:33 p.m. Friday. The amount taken from the account was about $400. Warren gave officers the name of a female suspect.
• Nicholas Kelly, of 12th Street Northwest, reported someone shot out the rear window of his Volkswagen Passat with a BB gun Saturday. Damage was estimated at about $500.
• An employee at Waffle House on First Avenue Southeast reported a known male customer attempted to pay for a meal using a counterfeit $20 bill Sunday.
• Consuelo Garcia reported someone broke the driver’s side mirror of her GMC Yukon while it was parked at the Board of Education on 28th Street Southeast between 10 a.m. and 11:33 a.m. Sunday. Damage was about $450.
• Kimberly Moore, of 27th Street Southeast reported someone threw eggs at her Nissan Maxima and her Chrysler 300 between 11:30 P.M. Sunday and 2:19 p.m. Monday.
