Some members of Hempstead Baptist Church, which was about two miles southeast of Berlin, helped organize Berlin Baptist Church. The Methodists shared their building with them and services were also held under a brush arbor. The church was built and constituted during the latter part of 1910 in the growing town of Berlin.
