Two charged with trying to steal lawn mower

MOULTRIE — Two Moultrie men were apprehended after they allegedly tried to steal a lawn mower early Saturday morning.

Caleb Wyatt Taylor, 26, of 1393 Tucker Road, and Calvin Bernard Harrison, 41, of 826 Eighth Ave. S.E., were each charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony. Harrison was also charged with probation violation.

A Moultrie police officer was called to a house on 15th Avenue Southeast at 3:54 a.m. Saturday about an attempted theft. The officer spoke with Joseph Watson, who stated a pickup truck was backed up near his carport, and he saw a white male grabbing his Troy-Bilt lawn mower.

Watson stated he yelled at the man and told him to leave the property, and the man apologized and left the scene. The truck was described as a white, two-door Chevrolet truck with its tail gate down, and other officers on patrol pulled the truck over after spotting it on First Avenue Southeast.

During the traffic stop, officers spoke with the driver, identified as Taylor, who stated he had been coming from Wal-Mart. When asked if he had been at Watson’s house, he initially denied it but later stated he had stopped to urinate near Watson’s vehicle.

Taylor was placed under arrest and put into the back seat of an officer’s patrol vehicle. It was there Taylor allegedly stated the idea to take the lawn mower was the passenger’s.. The passenger, identified as Harrison, was placed under arrest after it was found he had a probation warrant. Both men were charged with  trying to steal the lawn mower.

• Rikizo Armand Davis, 29, of 1302 First Ave. N.W., was charged Saturday with driving with a suspended license, duty to obey an officer, driving with an expired tag and giving false information of an officer.

• Lawrence Lester Wise, 51, of 1207 Ninth St. S.W., was charged Friday with making harassing phone calls.

• Tony Sherrod Hayes, 37, of 715 Seventh St. N.W., was charged Friday with aggravated assault. He allegedly tried to hit a woman using a motorcycle helmet.

• Evelyn Leverne Blackwell, 49, of 315 First St. N.W., was charged Friday with affray and criminal trespassing.

• Eric Leyran Edwards, 26, of 910 Third St. S.W., was charged Friday with giving false information to an officer.

• Jesus Estrada, 24, of 167 Ortiz Lane, was charged Friday with driving without a license.

• Angelica Iscamilla, 21, of 158 Roy Price Road, was charged Friday with tail lights required and driving without a license. She was also charged Sunday with speeding and driving without a license.

• Derrick Marcell Hardwick, 18, of 698 Felecia Lane in Camilla, was charged Friday with speeding and driving without a license.

• Corey Weston Mix, 22, of 15 McDonald Court, Apt. A, was charged Saturday with a loud music violation.

• Kenneth Michael Berry, 28, of 15 McDonald Court, Apt. A, was charged Saturday with a loud music violation.

• Linda Kriegbaum, 31, of 221 First Ave. S.W., was charged Saturday with giving a false name to an officer and trespassing.

• Primitivo Ayuso Garcia, 29, of 132 Ruth Drive in Bainbridge, was charged Saturday with DUI, driving without a license and speeding.

• Jimmy Arnold Galeano, 37, of 16428 Parkshire Court in Paramount, Calif., was charged Sunday with following too closely.

• Anastasio Hernandez, 26, of 3142 Old Adel Road, was charged Sunday with speeding and driving without a license.



Sheriff’s Office

• James Lee Clayton, 23, of Regency Village Drive, Lot 5, was charged Friday with theft by taking and criminal trespassing.

• Julio Cesar, 38, of 145 Highway 133 S., was charged Saturday with being a pedestrian under the influence.

• Ana Mirian Garcia Morales, 24, of 303 Wilder Road, was charged Saturday with a child restraint violation and driving without a license.



Georgia State Patrol

• Keith Thibodaux, 32, of 814 N. Longwood Drive in Panama City, Fla., was charged Thursday with DUI, driving without a license and an open container violation.

• Raul Ramirez Almarraz, 23, of 629 Circle Road, was charged Sunday with no proof of insurance and driving without a license.

• James Clayton Joye, 50, of 501 S. Church St. in Hahira, was charged Saturday with DUI, no proof of insurance and failure to maintain lane.



Norman Park Police

• Daniel Norman Van Dyke, 24, of 726 Cherokee Drive in Norman Park, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license and a seatbelt violation.

• April Marie Pilkerton, 20, of 1161 Ninth St. S.E., was charged Saturday with driving with a suspended license.

• Miguel Contreras, 23, of 1161 Ninth St. S.E., was charged Saturday with driving with a suspended license (second offense).



Berlin Police

• Fontanet Juan Lopez, 35, of 802 W. Lafaye St. in Quitman, was charged Saturday with driving with a suspended license (second offense).
