During the traffic stop, officers spoke with the driver, identified as Taylor, who stated he had been coming from Wal-Mart. When asked if he had been at Watson’s house, he initially denied it but later stated he had stopped to urinate near Watson’s vehicle.
Taylor was placed under arrest and put into the back seat of an officer’s patrol vehicle. It was there Taylor allegedly stated the idea to take the lawn mower was the passenger’s.. The passenger, identified as Harrison, was placed under arrest after it was found he had a probation warrant. Both men were charged with trying to steal the lawn mower.
