Man robbed at gunpoint

MOULTRIE — A Moultrie man reported he was robbed at gunpoint at his home Sunday afternoon.

A Moultrie police officer was called to a house on 14th Street Southeast at 3:49 p.m. Sunday about an armed robbery. The officer met with William Knighton, who stated three unknown black men entered his house about 3 p.m.

The three men demanded items, and Knighton said they stole cash, a .38-caliber revolver, a sapphire ring and an LG cell phone. After getting the items, the three men left the scene, and Knighton was not injured in the incident. The value of the stolen items was $505.

Moultrie Police

• Wilman DePaz Velasquez, 23, of 218 Ewer Road, was charged Friday with following too closely and driving without a license.

• Eric Alvarez Gonzalez, 25, of 389 Sardis Church Road, Lot 10, was charged Friday with possession of cocaine.

• Jose Luis Aguilar, 25, of 445 Country Circle, was charged Friday with possession of cocaine.

• A 14-year-old boy was charged Friday with possession of cocaine, driving without a license and defective equipment.

• Kendrick Ramon Brown, 32, of 1200 10th St. S.W., was charged Saturday with two counts of battery (family violence), simple battery (family violence) and cruelty to children (third degree).

• Shaun Michael McGray, 32, of 409-E. 31st Ave. S.E., was charged Saturday with false imprisonment.

• Alberto Soria Gomez, 37, of Tifton, was charged Saturday with theft by shoplifting. He allegedly tried to steal a bottle of beer salt, valued at $2.90, from Moultrie Package Store on North Veterans Parkway.

• Ricky Jarvis, 45, of 131 Kendallwood Drive, was charged Saturday with simple battery (family violence).

• Amanda Lynn Thompson, 20, of 110 Vineland Circle, was charged Saturday with simple battery (family violence).

• Ricky Lee Jarvis, 22, of 131 Kendallwood Drive, was charged Saturday with simple battery (family violence).

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Miguel Roque, 42, of 699 Sardis Church Road, was charged Thursday with being a pedestrian under the influence.

• Crystal Alexia Bell, 22, of 4405 Shingle Road in Pelham, was charged Friday with making terroristic threats and acts.

• Terry Lee Johnson, 33, of 905 Eighth Ave. S.E., was charged Friday with theft by receiving stolen property.

• Daniel Geronimo, 22, of 336 Magnolia Ave., was charged Friday with an open container violation.

Georgia State Patrol

• Marvin Lee Brown, 50, of 1120 Harrell Road in Doerun, was charged Friday with DUI, failure to maintain lane and tail lights required.

• Jason Scott Thompson, 33, of 1940 Funston-Sigsbee Road, was charged Saturday with DUI, an open container violation and speeding.

• Marcos Ayalla, 21, of 812 Doc Darbyshire Road, was charged Saturday with DUI, driving without a license, failure to maintain lane and an open container violation.

• Amilcar Tiburico Bamaca, 28, of 1068 Cohassett Ave. in Lake Whales, Fla., was charged Friday with DUI, an open container violation, driving with an expired license and driving on the wrong side of a roadway.

Norman Park Police

• Filogenio Morales Hernandez, 34, of 137 Frime St. in Hazlehurst, was charged Sunday with driving without a license.

Moultrie Police

• Anthony Simpson, of Second Street Northwest, reported a male relative stole his Briggs and Stratton push mower between July 29 and 10:59 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen lawn mower was estimated at $160.

• An employee of the Moultrie Police Department on First Street Southwest reported a known female gave her a counterfeit $5 bill Friday.

• Teodoro Marcos, of Second Avenue Northwest, reported someone kicked open a side door, damaged the door knob and door frame, Sunday. Damage was estimated at $100.

• Tracy Kelley reported a male acquaintance hit the driver’s side door of his Ford Mustang with a crow bar while they were at the Regency Inn on First Avenue Southeast between 8 a.m. and 2:16 p.m. Sunday.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Courtney Brooks reported a thief stole an Apple iPod from an unlocked Oldsmobile Alero while it was parked on South Boulevard between 9 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen iPod was $200.

• Steve Kudela, of Seay Road, reported a thief killed one of his dogs by running over it and stole a second dog Friday.

• Brandy Hancock, of Lower Meigs Road, reported a thief pried open the back door and stole food items between 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday. Damage and the value of the stolen food was estimated at about $300.

• Judy Meadows reported a thief stole a BlackBerry cell phone and a Motorola cell phone from the medical room at the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office on North Veterans Parkway between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen cell phones was $300.
