MOULTRIE — The final weekend before Christmas was a busy one for thieves as nine Colquitt County residents and a business reported over the weekend they were victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included electronics, cash, car stereo equipment, firearms, clothes and home appliances.
The value of the items reported stolen was about $9,711. Those
• Santiago Campos, of Clay Street, reported a thief forced open a back door and stole two Sanyo televisions and a Dell computer between 11 a.m. Friday and 11:31 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $2,200.
• Timothy Ponder reported a thief broke out a passenger window of his Mitsubishi Eclipse and stole a cup with change inside and a Panasonic stereo Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $201.
• David Proctor, of Sixth Avenue Southeast, reported a thief stole a CD player from his Ford Escort Saturday. The value of the stolen CD player was about $200.
• Kenyata Conney, of Fourth Street Southwest, reported a thief stole a Sanyo 37-inch television between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen television was $3,300.
• An employee at Rent-a-Center on Talmadge Drive reported Friday a known male customer leased a Sony 26-inch television Dec. 1 then pawned it. The value of the stolen television was about $870.
• Melvin Dillard, of Joe Louis Avenue, reported a thief stole an Acer laptop computer between Dec. 15 and 1:18 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen computer was about $400.
• Cecil Hamilton reported a thief stole his wallet, containing $515 cash, and lottery tickets after he dropped them at the R&R; Quick Mart on Fourth Avenue Northeast Friday.
• Mickey Weeks, of Highway 37 West, reported a thief forced open a back door and stole a girl’s Tinkerbell jacket, a pack of Fruit of the Loom socks, a pack of Fruit of the Loom shirts, a pack of lighters, a money bag with $40 cash inside and two 410 shotguns between 5 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $672.
• Neivy Ramirez, of Circle Road, reported a thief broke out the driver’s side window, keyed both sides, the hood and trunk and broke a tail light of her Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and stole a CD/DVD player Sunday. The value of the stolen player was $600.
• Amy McMillan, of Old Berlin Road, reported a thief kicked in the front door and stole a .22-caliber revolver, a Nintendo Wii, a Dell laptop computer, a microwave, a watch, clothes, Wii games and Wii accessories between 7:45 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $753.
