MOULTRIE — A would-be armed robber apparently got cold feet Friday night, leaving his victim standing on his front porch after he told the intruder that he did not have any money.
A Moultrie police officer was called to a house on Third Street Southeast about 11:10 p.m. about a robbery. The officer spoke with Ermilo Ramos, who stated he was on the front porch talking on his cell phone when an unknown black male approached him.
Ramos told the officer the black male pulled out a handgun and demanded money from him. Ramos told the robber he did not have any money, and he stated the robber walked toward the front door but fled once the front door was opened. Ramos did not give up any money or other items during the attempted heist.
The robber was described as a young black male with a short build and long hair. He was wearing a black hoodie sweater, jeans and was carrying a black handgun at the time of the attempted robbery. Officers searched the area for the robber but were unable to find him.

• Jose Antonio Saucedo, 28, of 152 Clinton Road, was charged Sunday with driving without a license.
• Mary Y. Johnson, 51, of 905 Eighth Ave. S.E., was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.
• Frederick Kit Adams Jr., 67, of 315 15th St. S.E., was charged Saturday with DUI, failure to maintain lane and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
• Shavensky Collins, 17, of 918 First Ave. S.W., was charged Saturday with giving a false name to an officer, trespassing and public drunkenness.
• Xavier Martel Johnson, 29, of 131 Old Doerun Road, was charged Saturday with driving with a suspended license.
• Darold Smith, 48, of 726 Joe Louis Ave., was charged Friday with disorderly conduct.
• Ramanda Lekeisha Aikens, of 6161 Memorial Highway, Apt. 1406, in Tampa, Fla., was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct.
• Marcus Dewayne Vinson, 26, of 1192 Doc Darbyshire Road in Norman Park, was charged Saturday with failure to yield at an intersection, no drivers license on his person and a bench warrant.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Hermenejildo Avendano Vazquez, 31, of 177 Cherry Ave., Apt. D, was charged Saturday with driving without a license and defective equipment.
• Shannon Michelle Coble, 21, of 410 Indian Trail, was charged Friday with DUI and following too closely.
• A 15-year-old boy was charged Wednesday with malicious mischief.
• A 16-year-old girl and two 15-year old girls were each charged Wednesday with fighting and disrupting public school.
Georgia State Patrol
• Justin Corey Truelove, 26, of 406 Dean Matthews Road, was charged Saturday with DUI, failure to maintain lane and a seatbelt violation.
• Floyd Gene Hatcher, 58, of 6869 Moultrie Road in Albany, was charged Sunday with DUI and driving with a suspended tag.
• Raul Pena Arredondo, 57, of 153 Deer Run Road, was charged Saturday with driving without a license, DUI and failure to maintain lane.

Moultrie Police
• Officers were called to a house on Third Street Southeast Sunday about a Boxer dog that was found to be malnourished. The dog was taken to the Moultrie-Colquitt County Humane Society.
• Paulette Twiggs, of Seventh Avenue Southwest, reported someone threw pieces of concrete at her Chevrolet car, breaking the windshield and a passenger window, between 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday. Damage was $275.
• Dionne Toombs, of Seventh Avenue Southwest, reported someone flattened a tire of her Nissan Altima between Dec. 15 and 9:36 a.m. Wednesday. Damage was estimated at about $500.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Eric Clark reported someone damaged the carpet, knocked two holes in the walls, tore off paneling strips and caused a sewage leak at his rental property on Big Bear Boulevard in Norman Park between Aug. 11 and 1:06 p.m. Saturday. Clark gave sheriff’s deputies the names of a male suspect and a female suspect.
