MOULTRIE — Two people were arrested after they allegedly were driving vehicles that were involved in an accident Friday afternoon.
Abigail Martinez Vasquez, 18, of 616 First Ave. N.E., was charged with driving without a license and failure to yield at an intersection. Terry Patterson, of 306 Second St. N.W., was charged with driving with a suspended license.
A Moultrie police officer was called to the intersection of First Avenue Northeast and North Main Street about a two-vehicle accident at 2:14 p.m. Friday. Upon arrival, the officer saw a Ford Explorer and a GMC Sierra collided with each other, and the Sierra struck a utility pole and broke it in half, causing an estimated $500 in damage.
Both of the alleged drivers reported being injured, but Vasquez, who reportedly was driving the Explorer, declined transport to Colquitt Regional Medical Center. While checking Vasquez’s information, she allegedly did not have a valid driver’s license and was placed under arrest and was taken to Colquitt County Jail.
The officer went to Colquitt Regional and spoke with Patterson about the collision, and it was found his driver’s license had been suspended since 1999. After being released from the hospital, Patterson, who allegedly had been driving the Sierra at the time of the collision, was also placed under arrest and was taken to Colquitt County Jail.

• Elisa Ball, 43, of 527 Highway 319 N., was charged Monday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
• Marilu Aguilar Andrade, 57, of 1805 Fifth Ave. S.E., was charged Monday with theft by shoplifting. She allegedly tried to steal food items and lotion, valued at $35, from Wal-Mart on South Veterans Parkway.
• Daniel Dewitt Trammell, 49, of 119 Green St., was charged Monday with two counts of trespassing.
Colquitt County S.O.
• Keithus Damon Troupe, 24, 1515 Fourth Ave. N.E., Apt. N-1, was charged Monday with harassing phone calls.
• Julio Ricardo, 26, of 191 Dogwood Drive, was charged Monday with being a pedestrian under the influence.

Moultrie Police
• Cynthia Harrison, of Sixth Avenue Southeast, reported someone keyed all over and scratched an obscenity into the hood of her Chevrolet Lumina between 6 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Damage was estimated at about $500.
• Virgilio Hernandez reported Monday a thief stole $2,300 cash he tried to wire to Mexico at the Tienda Guatemala on Highway 133 South between June 28 and July 14. When Hernandez tried to get his money back, he stated he was given two checks that were on a closed account.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Shannon Welch, of Sumner Road, reported someone broke out a living room window Tuesday. Damage was $150.
