MOULTRIE, GA – Colquitt County residents will have the opportunity to nominate worthy citizens for the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce’s Man, Woman, and Agribusiness Person of the Year Awards for 2009. The winners will be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Banquet on January 21, 2010.
Individuals may be nominated by area clubs, organizations, churches, businesses, and schools. Information packets on each applicant should include projects that reflect their exemplary service to our community. Outstanding achievements, photos, and professional activities should be included. Letters of recommendation and newspaper articles are encouraged.
Last year’s winners were: Senator Saxby Chambliss, Man of the Year, Ms. Virginia Hart, Woman of the Year; and Chip Blalock, Agribusiness Person of the Year.
Nomination forms are available from the Chamber office located at 116 1st Avenue SE or call 985-2131. The deadline for submitting applications and packets is Monday December 28, 2009.

'Les Miserables' at CCHS
A cast of 70 students is putting the final touches on their upcoming presentation of the classic “Les Miserables.”
The Colquitt County High School Choral Department, will present “Les Miserables,” in the Withers Auditorium starting Thursday, Feb. 9, at 8 p.m. The show will run Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10. -
