| — Family, Friends Day

The Grant Chapel AME Church, 318 West Central Ave. N.W., will celebrate its Family and Friends Day on Saturday, Sept. 18, starting from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a fellowship breakfast. It will continue with a Saturday Night Praise service at 6 p.m. featuring local and visiting choirs. On Sunday, Sept. 19, worship service will start at 11 a.m. with guest speaker the Rev. James Banks of Thomasville, Ga. The Rev. Jennifer Donalson-Baker is pastor.



Reunion

The descendants of Samuel Jackson, CSA, of Pulaski, Ga., and children Henry Harrison and John H. will hold their reunion on Saturday, Sept. 25, starting at 10 a.m. It will be located at Reed Bingham State Park in group shelter #3. A park pass is $5 per vehicle. Please bring a covered dish and a folding chair. For further information call, Drucilla Harper at 229-533-6175.
