MOULTRIE —
Seven Colquitt County residents and two businesses reported they were victims of property theft over the weekend. Items reported stolen included cash, copper wire, electronics, yard equipment, hair supplies, a navigation system and a puppy.
The known value of the items reported stolen and damage caused during the thefts was estimated at about $4,828. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:
• An employee at Unique Salon on 10th Street Southeast reported a thief damaged the front door and stole a CD player, two sets of hair clippers, a mini refrigerator, a microwave and $30 cash between 2 p.m. Saturday and 8:46 a.m. Sunday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was about $1,030.
• An employee at Prepay Zone on Sixth Street Southeast reported a thief stole $700 cash from a file cabinet Saturday. Officers were given the name of a female suspect.
• Alex Lampman reported a thief stole a weed eater from his truck while he was working at a house on First Street Southeast Saturday. The value of the stolen weed eater was $321.
• Walter Ward reported a thief stole a Tom Tom navigation system from his Ford Expedition while it was parked at Sanderson Farms on Highway 133 South between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen navigation system was $100.
• Daniel Lawton reported a thief stole copper wire from his house on Sixth Avenue Northwest Friday.
• Chris Valentine, of Cranford Street in Berlin, reported a male acquaintance stole a Dell laptop computer and a computer bag, containing a video game and two birth certificates, between May 17 and 11:30 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $1,780.
• Nathaniel Fish reported a thief stole a Sony PSP from the front porch of a house on Shady Grove Road between 11 p.m. Thursday and midnight Friday. The value of the stolen game system was estimated at about $199.
• Sherman Knight reported a thief stole a Samsung television from a house he was repairing on Halls Trail Road between 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen television was $448.
• Stacey McMurphy, of Magnolia Avenue, reported a thief stole a pit bull puppy from the front yard between noon Saturday and noon Sunday. The value of the stolen puppy was $250.

• Betty Strong reported someone threw a golf ball from a red Ford Explorer at her Cadillac Escalade, breaking a headlight, as both drove on Highway 33 North Sunday.
