MOULTRIE —
A Colquitt County business employee and 10 residents reported they were victims of property theft over the weekend. Items reported stolen included cash, jewelry, guns, air conditioning units, electronics, a truck and scrap feed line.
The known value of the items reported stolen and damage caused during the thefts was estimated at about $13,305. Those who reported being the victims of property theft were:
• Tahisha Davis, of Ninth Avenue Southeast, reported a male acquaintance broke out a window and stole $325 cash Friday. Damage to the window was $100.
• An employee of Latino’s on South Main Street reported a thief stole $505 cash Saturday. Officers were given the name of a male suspect.
• David Pittman, of Seventh Avenue Northwest, reported a thief stole an LG window air conditioning unit between 5 p.m. Friday and 7:13 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen air conditioner was about $250.
• Michael Norman reported a thief stole $100 cash from his stepson’s wallet from his locker at Colquitt County High School on Park Avenue Thursday.
• Sonia Chastain, of Erve Williams Road, reported a thief stole a Skyy Industries 9mm pistol from her nightstand between Aug. 13 and 11:40 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen pistol was $325.
• Gale Potter, of Baldree Road, reported a thief stole a Vizio 42-inch television, two Toshiba laptop computers, a Taurus .40-caliber handgun and $600 cash between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was estimated at about $4,000.
• Betty Jones, of West Mulberry Road, reported a thief stole a window air conditioning unit between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen air conditioner was $250.
• Danny Weeks, of Heard Road, reported a thief stole 2,000 feet of feed line and an auger bearing between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $200. Weeks gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.
• Jesus Beiza reported a thief stole his brother’s Ford Super Duty truck while it was parked at a house on Highway 319 North Sunday.
• Shaun Brown, of Robin Lane, reported a thief stole a Sanyo 50-inch television, an RCA 32-inch television, a gold herringbone chain, two Xando necklaces, a silver necklace with a cross charm and a ring between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen items was $4,250.
• Patti Poole, of Jasmine Lane in Omega, reported a thief stole a Sony laptop computer and sold it between noon and 11 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen computer was $3,000. Poole gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.

• Falonda L. Williams, 31, of 553 27th St. S.E., Apt. 3, was charged Friday with theft by taking.
• Donald Eugene Reeves, 26, of 822 Fourth Ave. S.E., was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license (second offense).
• Amos Lamar Goram, 43, of Seventh Avenue Southwest, Lot 15, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license.
• Quentin Shawn Cooper, 27, of 3749 Midway Road in Pelham, was charged Friday with an open container violation, failure to maintain lane and DUI (second offense).
• James Arthur Brown, 50, of 3266 Old Adel Highway, Lot 1, was charged Saturday with two counts of battery (family violence), interfering with a 911 call and criminal trespassing.
• Jerry Edward Bozeman, 41, of 329 Dunn Road, was charged Saturday with driving with a suspended license and following too closely.
• Karen Love, 34, of Regency Village Drive, Lot 79, was charged Sunday with Sunday with battery (family violence).
• Victor Lopez, 21, of 2301 Sylvester Drive, was charged Sunday with driving without a license and failure to maintain lane.

• Grady Stanley Giddens, 52, of 205 Pine Park in Cairo, was charged Saturday with being a pedestrian under the influence.
• Jennifer Gayle Harrison, 36, of 211 Southerland Ave. in Berlin, was charged Thursday with a Georgia employee security law violation.
• Christy Lee Bozeman, 19, of 534 D.H. Alderman Road, was charged Friday with theft by taking.
Doerun Police
• Jose Alberto Rodriguez Yanez, 19, of 3205 Sylvester Road, Lot 16, was charged Sunday with a seatbelt violation and driving without a license.
•Geraldo Reyes, 26, of 589 Circle Road, Lot 45, was charged Saturday with driving without a license, a seatbelt violation and probation violation.
Georgia State Patrol
• James Lawson Powell Jr., 18, of 381 Jerusalem Church Road, was charged Sunday with tag lights required and DUI.
• Simon Gutirrez Rodriguez, 24, of Plum Nelly Lane, was charged Saturday with DUI, driving without a license, making an improper turn and failure to maintain lane.
Norman Park Police
• Ricardo Vazquez Morales, 27, of 382 Highway 125 S., Lot D-17, in Tifton, was charged Saturday with driving without a license and speeding.
• Alejandro Ortiz, 19, of 184 Creek St. in Norman Park, was charged Saturday with driving without a license,
• Jose Rebollar Osorio, 27, of 1030 Summit St., Apt. B-4, in Gainesville, Ga., was charged Saturday with driving without a license and an open container violation.
• Tonya K. Livingston, 34, of 194 E. Weelos Road in Norman Park, was charged Sunday with two counts of an open container violation.
• Helidoro Zarco Lopez, 25, of 722 Dorsey St. in Gainesville, Ga., was charged Saturday with driving without a license.
• Jacky Randall Folsom, 51, of 121 30th Ave., Lot 2, was charged Sunday with DUI and an open container violation.
Other Incidents
Moultrie Police
• Jessica Hayes, of 11th Avenue Southeast, reported someone attempted to kick open her back door, damaging a screen door, Saturday. Damage was estimated at about $500.
• An officer responded to Paradise Apartments on 27th Street Southeast Saturday about gunshots being fired. The officer found three .45-caliber shell casings and four 9mm shell casings, but no one reported being injured and nothing was reported damaged.
• Tony Poole, of Old Adel Road, reported someone broke out a bathroom window between 9 p.m. Saturday and 4:59 a.m. Sunday. Damage was about $500. Poole gave officers the name of a male suspect.
• An employee at Murphy’s Express on South Veterans Parkway reported finding a counterfeit bill Sunday.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Eli Kirkland reported someone threw a beer bottle through a passenger door window of his Chevrolet Tahoe during a fight at a party in a field on Culbertson Road Sunday.
• Patti Poole, of Jasmine Lane in Omega, reported a thief stole a Sony laptop computer and sold it between noon and 11 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen computer was $3,000. Poole gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.
