Zy’Meryiah Carter, Colquitt County’s first baby of 2013, was born at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, Jan. 2. Her parents, Shemeka Thomas and Anthony Carter, were congratulated by hospital staff and presented gifts donated by local merchants.
