MOULTRIE — A former postal worker in Moultrie was sentenced Thursday to a six-month prison sentence in a federal courtroom in Albany.

U.S. District Judge W. Louis Sands also sentenced Terrell “Chick” Croft, 60, of Moultrie to six months of home confinement following his release from prison and to pay restitution totaling $50,000.

Croft pleaded guilty Nov. 10, 2010, to a one-count indictment charging him of embezzlement of postal funds.

Croft, a long-time employee of the U.S. Postal Service, was accused of embezzling $50,000 between November 2004 and April 2007.
