One armed robbery suspect in custody

MOULTRIE — Moultrie police have one suspect in custody and are searching for a second in a Dec. 29 robbery of a man who was ordered to drive to a cemetery before being robbed.

Henry Taylor reported that in the early morning hours of Dec. 29 a man and woman asked for a ride and he agreed.

After they got in the car, the man put an object to his head and ordered him to drive to Westview Cemetery.

“That’s where the robbery took place,” Moultrie Police Department Inv. Raul Leal said Wednesday.

There they demanded and took his money, Moultrie Police Inv. Raul Leal said.

On Dec. 30 police arrested Leketa Denice Spradley, Leal said.

Spradley, 36, 303 Second Ave., was charged with kidnapping and armed robbery. Police are seeking her boyfriend.

“The victim did not know them personally,” Leal said. “He was able to identify her in a photo lineup.”

Also being sought in the robbery is Anthony Lorenzo Giddens, 30, who lives in Southwest Moultrie. Warrants also have been taken for Giddens on charges of kidnapping and armed robbery.

Police are seeking help in locating Giddens. Anyone with information is asked to call the department’s tip line at (229) 890-5451.

Giddens served state prison terms of four months in 2008 and a year on a cocaine possession charge, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was released in September 2010.
