AARP meeting
The March 13 meeting of the Moultrie AARP has been canceled. The meeting has been rescheduled for March 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Maule Pilot’s Lounge on Spence Field. State Director David Pilgrem will be sharing and listening to concerns about social security and Medicare. Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring a can good for the hungry. Conversational Spanish Classes
Conversational Spanish classes will be taught, by the Rev. Terrell Ruis at Funston Baptist Church. The classes will start today, from 7 to 9 p.m., and continue every Thursday through April 19. Except for March 22. The cost is $10 which includes 12 hours of instruction, notebook, and an English/Spanish dictionary.
Barbecue Plate Sale
Ione Freewill Baptist Church will hold a barbecue sale and gospel sing, with $8 barbecue plates sold from noon-6 p.m. A cake sale will be held at 6 p.m., with a gospel sing featuring Rick Griswold and Another Journey beginning at 7 p.m. The church is at 1552 Ione Church Road, Pavo.
