Youth revival starts tonight

Staff Reports

MOULTRIE — The Grant Chapel Family, under the leadership of the Rev. Martin T. Kohn, invites the community to join them for their first Youth Revival.

The theme for the evening will be “Youth On the Move, and Stirring It Up!” The revival will be held today, June 25, and Friday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m., at Grant Chapel AME Church, 318 W. Central Ave. in Moultrie. The guest speaker is Brandon Moore of Pearson, Ga.

Moore is the son of Anita Jeffery and Squire Moore Jr. He is a 2003 graduate of Atkinson County High School and he is employed at TLC Moldings in Willacoochee, Ga. He has three sisters and a brother and two nephews and a niece. He serves as the newly appointed youth pastor of St. James AME Church in Pearson, under the leadership of the Revs. Evans and Bettye Williams. He currently serves as the Georgia Conference YPD president.

In his spare time, he is usually visiting other ministries or hanging out with his friends. He said he loves and has a passion for the youth and “youth at heart.” Young people are a central focus to his ministry, as he seems to understand the unique challenges facing this generation. He said his main purpose in ministry is to see people “healed, set free, saved, and delivered.”
