A total of 11 Colquitt County residents and one business reported they were victims of property theft over the weekend. Items reported stolen included clothing, car stereo equipment, electronics, cash, a four-wheeler, tires and rims, tools and gasoline.

The value of the items reported stolen was about $12,938. Those who reported being the victims of theft were:

• Toy Johnson reported a thief stole $357 cash and an EBT card from her Chevrolet Impala while it was parked on Third Street Southeast Friday.

• An employee of Bernice’s Fashions on Second Avenue Southwest reported a thief broke out the front glass door and stole various clothing items between 6 p.m. Friday and 10:03 a.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen clothes was $2,480.

• James Brown, of Third Street Southeast, reported a thief stole electronic items from his Chevrolet Malibu between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 11:04 a.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen items was $200.

• Jeffery Hart, of First Avenue Southeast, reported a thief stole a Miller Trailblazer welder from the bed of his Dodge Dakota truck Sunday. The value of the stolen welder was $3,500.

• Julian Bridges, of Second Avenue Southeast, reported a thief stole various items Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $311.

• Sherry Stewart, of Third Street Southeast, reported a thief stole household appliances between May 17 and 6:09 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $150.

• Kimberly Newsome reported a thief stole a set of four Low Profile tires and chrome rims from a house on Circle Road between May 18 and 6 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen items was about $1,600. Newsome gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.

• Baird Varnadoe, of Sam Harrell Road, reported a thief broke out a passenger window of his Chevrolet 3500 truck and stole a Magnum 12-gauge shotgun between 11 p.m. Saturday and 10:36 a.m.. Sunday. The value of the stolen shotgun was $300.

• Jeffery Beales, of Doc Darbyshire Road, reported a thief stole a Sony CD player and gasoline from his Chevrolet Blazer between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:49 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $325.

• Jack Griffin, of 29th Avenue Northwest, reported a thief stole a Dell computer, a Sony PlayStation 2 with two controllers, 20 PlayStation 2 games, two Nintendo Wii controllers and six Wii games between noon Friday and 1:23 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $1,965.

• Jessica Giddens, of Doc Darbyshire Road, reported a thief stole a CD player, a speakerbox with two speakers inside and an amplifier from her unlocked Dodge Neon between midnight and noon Friday. The value of the stolen items was about $250.

• Gary McMillan, of Old Albany Road, reported a thief stole a Yamaha four-wheeler from his shed between 1 p.m. Friday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen four-wheeler was $1,500.

• Travion Walker, of Pine Drive, reported someone broke out the windshield and rear window of his mother’s Mazda 626 Saturday.

• Tammy Cone reported someone scratched and dented all over her Chevrolet Camaro while it was parked on Fourth Street Southwest between 7 p.m. Saturday and 12:27 a.m. Sunday.

• Felicia Kohler, of 27th Street Southeast, reported someone broke out a bedroom window between 6 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Damage was estimated at about $250.



Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• An employee at Lifespring Community Church on Highway 133 South reported someone damaged an office door between 9 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday. Damage was $250.

• Rhonda Ryan, of Old Albany Road, reported someone used her debit card number at three locations in Fort Myers, Fla., between 8 a.m. and noon Saturday. The amount used fraudulently on the card was $474.

• Mary Bizuto, of Sardis Church Road, reported someone drove a white van into a chain link fence Monday. Damage was estimated at about $200. Read more reports of crimina investigations
