Community Gospel Sing
There will be a Community Gospel Sing on Saturday, May 30, at 6 p.m., at Robert Simpson’s in Alapaha, Ga., on Pait St. The featured groups will be Faithful Servants and Southern Testimony. Refreshments will be served.
RDC Board Meeting
The Southwest Georgia Regional Development Center will hold the May RDC Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, May 28, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in Camilla, Ga., at the RDC offices.
Fifth Sunday Night Sing
Antioch Baptist Church will have a Fifth Sunday Night Sing on Sunday, May 31, starting at 6:30 p.m. The featured group will be the Joy Notes.
American Legion Meeting
The American Legion Post 533 will meet 7 p.m., Thursday, May 28, at the post home.
Benefit Sing
There will be a benefit sing on Sunday May 31, at 2 p.m., at the Staggerwing Country Jamboree. The Staggerwing Country Jamboree is located in Moultrie at 2099 Hwy. 133 S., at the Lake Hanger, on Spence Field. This sing will benefit Hazel Nelson, who has been diagnosed with lung and liver cancer and all proceeds will go toward her burial fund. Spaghetti plates will be sold for donations, as well, and they will also accept a love offering.
Graduate Barbecue
Universal Love Outreach, 1602 Hutchinson Dr. N.E. in Moultrie, is having a “Where Do We Go From Here?” free summer barbecue on Saturday, May 30, at 3 p.m. This is open to all graduating high school seniors.
