MOULTRIE — A Moultrie man was charged Monday after he allegedly fired an assault rifle and made a threat Sunday night.
Jeremy George Ives, 33, of 1800 Pine Circle, was charged with making terroristic threats (family violence), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
A Moultrie police officer was called to a house on Pine Circle at 9:11 p.m. Sunday about what was thought to be an unauthorized use of a vehicle. The officer spoke with a resident of the house, who stated Ives left the house in their Chrysler Sebring against her wishes.
The woman stated the incident started when Ives left a family gathering with a friend earlier in the day. When he returned home, he was allegedly extremely intoxicated, and he wanted to leave again in the car but she refused to give him her car keys. She told police Ives does not have a valid driver’s license.
Ives was able to get a set of keys but allegedly became more enraged when they were not the right ones, police said. When he came back to get the correct set of keys, police said he also allegedly grabbed an assault rifle, possibly an AK-47, and fired one shot out the back door. The woman stated she followed Ives into the garage, and he allegedly stated he would kill everyone if any police were there when he returned.
Ives was placed under arrest at the house Monday afternoon and was taken to Colquitt County Jail.

• Traviskius Sentrell Pate, 26, of 794 Erve Williams Road, was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce and speeding.
• Winston Dewayne Revels, 24, of 621 Fifth Ave. S.W., was charged Tuesday with a seatbelt violation and two counts of probation violation.
• Gregory Allen Bryant, 42, of 407 First St. S.E., was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct.
• Ryshawn J. Bradford, 22, of 813 Fourth St. N.W., was charged Tuesday with trespassing.

• David Garza, 52, of 416 Magnolia Ave., was charged Tuesday with driving with a suspended license.
Georgia State Patrol
• Ronian Dawson White, 38, of 1111 N. Short Broad St. in Thomasville, was charged Tuesday with driving with a suspended license (second offense).

• Bobby Liles, of Third Avenue Southeast, reported a black male pointed a gun at his belly and stole $9 cash Monday.
• Mary Almond, of 11th Court Northwest, reported someone fired four or five gunshots from a vehicle Tuesday. One hit a wall inside her house, but no one inside the house was injured.
Colquitt County S.O.
• Lisa Ball, of Lazy Bear Road in Norman Park, reported a neighbor’s dog bit her dog in the neck and swung it around Monday.
• Lorianna Weathers reported Tuesday a thief stole a Samsung cell phone from her gymnasium locker at Colquitt County High School on Park Avenue April 23. The value of the stolen cell phone was about $100.
• An employee of Highway 319 Auto Salvage on Highway 319 North reported a thief stole 85 pounds of copper wiring and sold it between 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen copper was $200.
