Friendship Missionary Baptist to host Annual Men’s Day

MOULTRIE — Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. Alfred Jones, will be celebrating its Annual Men’s Day on Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. The speaker for the occasion will be the Rev. Rickey Thomas of Pelham, Ga.

Thomas is well known in various communities for always lending a helping hand. He is the minister of music for the male chorus of Friendship Baptist Church in Moultrie and the First Pleasant Grove Choir of Newton, Ga. He has been a minister of music for more than 20 years and a minister of the gospel for seven years.

He is married to Yolanda Thomas and they have five children. He is the son of Jimmie Lou Haywood of Pelham and the late Felton Thomas Sr. He is the owner and operator of Rickey B. Thomas Trucking and Rick’s Minor Auto Repair. He is the manager of the Truly Blessed Gospel Quartet of Pelham, Ga., which is currently developing their first CD.

Greater Newton Grove Male choir will be rendering the musical selections.
