Men’s Day Celebration
Sinner Friend Baptist Church in Hartsfield will have its annual Men’s Day Celebration on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Edmond Howard, pastor of the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church No. 2 of Attapulgus, Ga., will be the guest speaker. The Rev. W.B. Sales is pastor.
Moultrie Jackpot Steer and Heifer Show
The Moultrie Jackpot Steer and Heifer Show will be held on the grounds of the Sunbelt Expo today and Saturday, Jan. 9 and 10. Exhibitors from Georgia, Alabama and Florida are entered for the event which is in its third year. The show, which is open to the public, starts with showmanship competition at 7 p.m. tonight. The Colquitt County Young Farmers will have supper plates available prior to the showmanship contest. Activities begin at 9 a.m. Saturday with heifers showing first, followed by the steer show. Many local 4-H and FFA exhibitors will be competing.
