MOULTRIE — Two people were taken to Colquitt Regional Medical Center with injuries from a two-car accident Saturday afternoon.
Fanny Moleski, and Gay Mason, 71, both of 245 Railroad St. in Berlin, reported being injured. A hospital spokesperson said both were treated for their injuries and released Saturday.
A Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Moleski, was driving north on Highway 133 and was attempting to make a left turn onto Fifth Avenue Southeast at 12:08 p.m. Saturday. A Nissan Maxima, driven by Benjamin Butterfield, of 2221 Highway 37 E., was driving south on Highway 133 and entered the intersection as the Grand Prix was making the turn, causing both vehicles to collide, authorities said.
Both cars had extensive damage from the collision, Moleski and the front passenger, Mason, were taken to Colquitt Regional with injuries. Two other passengers in the Grand Prix, however, were not injured, and Butterfield and a passenger in the Maxima did not report being injured, the wreck report stated.
Moleski was cited for failure to yield while turning left, but Butterfield was not cited or charged in the collision.

2 men charged in 10 burglaries
The arrests of two Moultrie men clears up no less than 10 burglaries from around the county, sheriff’s office investigators say.
Traviskius Sentrell Pate, 29, of 2903 Sylvester Drive, and Freddie Joseph Ross, 20, of 843-A Sixth Street Northwest, were charged Thursday morning with 10 counts each of burglary, according to Colquitt County sheriff’s investigator Shannon Hart. Hart said more charges are possible. -
