MOULTRIE — A Moultrie man reported he was severely beaten by five other men after they ran out of beer Thursday.
Sergio Ramirez, 35, of Moultrie, was brought to Colquitt Regional Medical Center with serious injuries to his face. A hospital spokesperson said he was transferred to the Medical College of Georgia in Macon for treatment, but his condition there was not known.
A 15-year-old girl reported a Hispanic male came to her house on Circle Road Thursday saying a man was lying in the road bleeding. Colquitt County EMS took the man, later identified as Ramirez, to Colquitt Regional for treatment of his injuries.
While there, a Colquitt County sheriff’s deputy spoke with Ramirez through a translator. Ramirez stated that about 3 p.m. Thursday he and five other Hispanic men had been drinking beer at a house on Circle Road, the report said.
When he ran out of beer and told the other men about it, Ramirez stated the five men began to beat him. The full extent of his injuries was not known, and deputies searched for a “Fidel” who Ramirez stated was involved but he could not be located.

• Quinton Lanard Farmer, 21, of 701 26th Ave. S.E., was charged Friday with simple battery (family violence).
• Carl Allen Morgan Jr., 20, of 481 N. Railroad St. in Norman Park, was charged Friday with DUI under the age of 21, an open container violation, leaving the scene of an accident with damage, disorderly conduct, and illegal possession of alcohol.
• Marianne E. Priddy, 20, of 481 N. Railroad St. in Norman Park, was charged Friday with public drunkenness and illegal possession of alcohol.
• Marcus Rogers, 21, of 1201 10th St. S.E., was charged Friday with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and furnishing alcohol to minors.
• Charles H. Callahan Jr., 44, of 775 Sardis Church Road, was charged Saturday with DUI and driving with a suspended license.
• Jose Batista, 28, of 54 Regency Village Drive, was charged Saturday with public drunkenness and resisting arrest.
• Domingo Gaspar Nicolas, 29, of 213 Kalmon Ave. in Albany, was charged Saturday with driving without a license and defective equipment.
• Mattie Tasha Chambers, 32, of 422 Third St. N.W., was charged Saturday with DUI, failure to yield while entering an intersection and driving with the wrong class license.
• Keith W. Truelove, 46, of 715-A Second Ave. S.E., was charged Saturday with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
• Joel Contreras, 32, of Little Mexico, was charged Sunday with public drunkenness.
• Antonio Stevenson, 36, of 1312 First Ave. N.W., was charged Sunday with driving with a suspended license and failure to stop at a stop sign.

• Genaro Lopez, 19, of 115 Oak St., was charged Wednesday with simple battery (family violence).
• David Ortiz Hernandez, 24, of Circle Road, Lot 19, was charged Friday with driving without a license and DUI.

• Randy Dwayne Bowen, 48, of 367 Barry Chandler Road in Omega, was charged Saturday with obstruction, giving false information to an officer and a passenger interfering with a driver violation.
• Danny Dewight Hill, 18, of 180 Robin Lane, was charged Sunday with attempting to elude officers, a seatbelt violation, driving too fast for conditions, making an improper turn, driving without a license, DUI and an open container violation.
• Wanda S. Fretwell, 42, of 367 Jasmine Lane, Lot 8, in Omega, was charged Saturday with no proof of insurance and driving with an improper tag.
• Victor Jimenez Hernandez, 25, of 805-B Smith Road, was charged Saturday with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license (fourth offense).

• Michael Joe Flinchum, 32, of 855 Perry Road, was charged Sunday with driving with a suspended license.

• An employee at Quick Mart on Veterans Parkway reported a thief pumped $19 in gasoline Friday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was as white Buick Lesabre, driven by a black male, and officers were given its tag number.
• Eugene Clark, of Sixth Avenue Northwest, reported someone scratched all over his Ford F-150 truck Friday.
• Verinda Kerr, of Sixth Street Northwest, reported a male acquaintance kicked the passenger side of her Ford Escort, causing a dent, Friday. Damage was estimated at about $500.
• Timothy Palmer, of Fifth Avenue Southeast, reported a thief stole a Toshiba 32-inch television, a Sony PlayStation 2 and six packs of Checkers cigarettes between 10 a.m. and 3:22 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $1,195.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Kenneth Barnwell, of Funston-Sigsbee Road, reported a thief stole guns, power tools and other equipment between Oct. 6 and Thursday. Barnwell gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.
• Janet Miley, of Deerfield Road, reported a thief stole a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver from the hood of her truck Saturday. The value of the stolen revolver was $400.
• Brandon Bruce, of Roberts Road, reported a male acquaintance borrowed his gun then pawned it between April 17 and Friday. The value of the stolen gun was $300.
• Cecil Morton, of John Vickers Road, reported a thief stole a Dell laptop computer, two guns and ammunition between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $2,600.
• Algeman Tuff, of Dandron Road, reported a thief forced open his front door and stole clothes, two hats and his work identification card between 6 p.m. Friday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $300. Tuff gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a female suspect.
• Santiago Lopez, of Willow Drive, reported a thief stole a JVC home stereo system Saturday. Lopez reported the white male, driving a green truck, came to his house with a pair of handcuffs and a gun on him demanding money or he would be taken to jail. When Lopez told the suspect he did not have any money, the thief took the stereo system.
