Homecoming/Revival
Norman Park United Methodist Church will have its homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 12, starting at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Tommy Newberry.
It will have revival Monday, Oct. 13, through Wednesday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. nightly. The Rev. Ronnie Howell will be the guest speaker.
Senior Voices of Praise
The Senior Voices of Praise will practice on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 5 p.m., in East Side Baptist Church’s choir room.
Bass Reunion
The descendants of James Calvin Bass will meet Sunday, Oct. 12, at noon, at Cool Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Sale City. There will be a covered dish luncheon. Family members are also encouraged to attend the 11 a.m. services at Cool Springs Church.
Seven Salads Supper
The Women’s Federated Club of Moultrie will host a Seven Salads Supper and the Seven Churches of Asia, on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m., in the E.H. Hopkins Fellowship Hall. For ticket information, call Patricia Merritt at 985-5423 or Barbara Jelks at 890-3245.

Colquitt County High School bid farewell to its 2012 seniors during graduation exercises Saturday morning at Mack Tharpe Stadium at Tom White Field. Scheduled for graduation were 471 students.

Tragedy to keep Ryan James from graduation
Ryan won’t walk after all.
A hue and cry went up earlier this week when the Colquitt County Board of Education refused to let a senior with a developmental disability walk at today’s graduation. The board reversed its decision on Wednesday, but tragic events will prevent Ryan James from joining his classmates at Mack Tharpe Stadium. -
